Education

All sellers and servers of alcohol and tobacco  must be trained before they start working and then must be re-trained every 2 years thereafter.  DLL's available training options include  in-person  seminars conducted by our DLL educators as well as online seminars which can all be accessed by clicking on the Seminar link.  In-House Training of employees is also allowed.  DLL online, in-person or virtual seminars are acceptable forms of training for a business's licensing requirements.

Education is a vital part of the mission of the Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery.  The Office of Education brings training and seminars to businesspersons, employees,  bartenders, store owners, and anyone else who needs to know about how to make sure alcohol and tobacco are only used in safe and legal ways.

Assuring that employees card all individuals of questionable age and follow proper carding techniques is essential to protecting the health and safety of our youth and our communities.

Please join us in committing to proper carding techniques by signing our Just Ask For ID Pledge.
